Relief Drugstore was established June, 2006 by California-licensed pharmacists eager to practice pharmacy in a setting free of insurance company intrusions and retail pharmacy hassles. More importantly, we recognized an opportunity to fill the needs of those who lack prescription coverage and/or the ability to frequent local retail pharmacies.

Because reimbursements from insurance companies have steadily declined over the past few years, drugstores have been “forced” to increase the price of medications for those without insurance (“cash customers”) to make up for their losses. This has lead many uninsured patients to purchase discounted, non-FDA approved medications from different countries. Certain medications, however, are not made available by these pharmacies. Furthermore, an ever increasing trend of counterfeited medications has begun to surface.

For these reasons, among others, many patients have been forced to purchase overpriced medications at what have become over-utilized retail pharmacies. That being said, it is our pleasure to offer a better option for those looking to save money and time without sacrificing quality and service.
